SSIEM Academy

The topics of the 2018 Academy will be

  • Lysosomal storage disorders
  • Peroximal disorders
  • Purine and Pyrimidine disorders

Course applications will open from 19-Oct-2017 until Midnight (GMT) 23-Nov-2017. and will be open to clinicians and laboratory scientists training in inherited metabolic disease.

Teaching will as interactive as possible and in addition to lectures will involve workshops and case discussions.

As places are limited, if the courses are oversubscribed there may be a selection process and completion of the application form will not guarantee a place on the course.

Accepted delegates will be contacted within 4 weeks of the applications deadline and will be asked to submit an abstract for a case presentation on a topic related to the Academy programme.

Accepted delegates will also be asked to pay 75 Euro registration fee for the Academy.

Academy registration includes

Accommodation (including breakfast) for two nights
Lunches on the two Academy days

There will also be an optional evening meal (additional fee of 12 Euro) for all Academy attendees on the first evening.

Please note participants will pay their own travel costs.

Accepted delegates will also be asked to submit an abstract for a case presentation on a topic related to the Academy. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Academy programme.
