SSIEM Academy Course for 2019

Applications are now open and will close at Midnight (GMT) 12-Nov-2018
Applications are open to clinicians and laboratory scientists training in inherited metabolic disease.
Decisions will be made within 5 weeks of the closing date.
The topics of the 2019 Academy will be
Glycogen storage diseases
Congenital disorders of glycosylation
The provisional programme will be announced in due course.
Course applications will open here in mid-October. As places are limited to 40 clinicians and 40 lab scientists and there will be a selection process if the Academy is oversubscribed; completion of the application form does not guarantee a place on the course.
Accepted delegates will be contacted within 5 weeks of the applications deadline and will be asked to submit an abstract for a case presentation on a topic related to the Academy.
Accepted delegates will also be asked to pay 75 Euro registration fee for the Academy.
Academy registration includes
Accommodation (including breakfast) for the nights of 28th and 29th April
Lunches on the 29th and 30th April
There will also be an evening meal for all Academy attendees on the 29th April 2019 (The evening meal is optional. It is a great way to network with colleagues. There is an additional 12 EURO cost for the evening meal.
Please note participants will pay their own travel costs.
Accepted delegates will also be asked to submit an abstract for a case presentation on a topic related to the Academy. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Academy programme.
